Stage II 
TNM T1-2, N1, M0 
The tumor has spread to the hilar nodes .

Standard Treatment  This stage is likewise treated with surgery. Patients unable to withstand surgery may be candidates for radiation therapy with intent to cure.

Five-Year Survival  10 to 30 percent 

Investigational 
• Trials are exploring the use of radiation therapy and/or 
  chemotherapy as adjuvant therapy after surgery to see if the
  cure rate can be improved.
